The School of Engineering and Computer Science is once again hosting the Making of an Engineer Extreme Sports Summer Camp on the University of Denver campus. In the 2007-08 academic year, we kicked off our Graduate Seminar series. Our distinguished presenters this year included:

• Dr. Peter McMurry, Particle Technology Laboratory, University of Minnesota, “New Particle Formation and Growth Rates in the Atmosphere” - October 18, 2007

• Dr. Xianghong Qian, Mechanical Engineering, Colorado State University “Theoretical Investigation of Cooperative Hydrogen Bonding Networks in Cellulose I and I” - November 1, 2007

In February 2008, we held a very successful meeting with our newly established Industry Advisory Board, and are currently developing collaborations with several of these members.

Dr. Yun-Bo Yi received ASME Journal of Tribology 2006 Best Paper Award in STLE-ASME International Joint Tribology Conference held in San Diego, CA October 22-24, 2007.
