Description: 

Properties of a pure substance. Use of tables of properties. First and second laws of thermodynamics for closed and open systems. Work, heat, power and entropy. Engine, power plant and refrigeration cycles. Gas mixtures, thermodynamic relations and chemical reactions. Prerequisite: for ENME 2710: PHYS 1212; for ENME 2720: ENME 2710.
