Assistantships

The MS and PhD degrees are research degrees with specific areas of interest. Teaching Assistantships (TA) or Research Assistantships (RA) provide financial assistance for graduate students pursuing the MS or PhD degrees.

Teaching Assistantships: All students wishing to apply for teaching assistantships must submit a graduate application by April 1st to be considered for the following academic year. NOTE: International students must attach an internet-based TOEFL speaking subsection score of at least 26 with minimum TOEFL score of 570 (230 computer), 88 (internet)).

Research Assistantships: If you are seeking a Research Assistantship, you will need to contact the MME faculty member you are interested in working with. NOTE: International students must attach an internet-based TOEFL speaking subsection score of at least 26 with minimum TOEFL score of 570 (230 computer), 88 (internet).
